TOURING GHANA

There are a million and one reasons why I think you should visit Ghana. Aside the wonderful people you are bound to meet and the good food, you will also be able to visit beautiful tourist sites.
Here are my top five must see places if you are in Ghana.

1. Kakum National Park

Kakum National Park is a dense tropical rain forest in the central region of Ghana. The forest is home to over 40 species of larger mammals including forest elephants, forest buffalo, Mona-meerkats and civets. The bird life is fantastic as well with over 250 species living in the forest. The highlight of any visit to Kakum is a stroll on the Canopy Walkway that is built 30 meters above ground, crosses several bridges and is over 1000 feet (350 m) in length. The canopy walkway gives you a unique viewing perspective of the wildlife and unique plants of the forest. Trained guides are on hand to take you on a tour and provide detailed insight into the medicinal uses of the forest plants. Also, there is a basic campsite for those who want to stay overnight. -

2.Cape Coast Castle

The Cape Coast Castle was built for the slave-trade and is one of the most impressive of Ghana’s old forts. It was originally built by the Dutch in 1637, later expanded by the Swedes, finally the British took control of it in 1664 and turned it into their colonial headquarters until they moved the capital to Accra in 1877. It is now an excellent museum with information about the history of Ghana, the slave-trade and local culture. Touring the castle is interesting and a “must” as it  will take you through the dungeons and the “door of no return”.

3. Nzulezu

Nzulezu is an amazing village where life goes on in the centre of lake Tadane. The whole village is built on stilts in the middle of the lake. this beautiful settlement located in the western region has been around for about 400years and its a definite must see!

4. Mole National Park

located in the Northern region of Ghana, the Mole National park will leave you with noting but an experience to remember. In Mole you can expect to see buffalo, roam antelope, elephants, warthogs, hyenas and if you’re very lucky, leopard .You can opt for a walking safari or a traditional game drive accompanied by an armed guard . Camping and overnight stays can also be arranged

5. Boti falls

This spectacular waterfalls is situated in the Eastern Region of Ghana, embedded at the heart of the forest reserve at huhunya. if you have the strength for climbing the rocks, you might also want to visit the umbrella rock which is around the same site.

When love hurts.....

In the beginning you give it your all
You cant go a minute without thinking of him and getting butterflies in your tummy
You gig
le like a school girl when you remember the good times you have spent together and the sweet words he has whispered in your ears
you can't stand being apart from him for too long

SUDDENLY,

You hardly hear from him
You hardly see him
You hardly hear all those sweet words he once whispered with joy into your ears
The days turn into weeks, and the weeks into months
You begin to cry at the slightest thought of him
every time you think about him, you no longer  have the butterflies in your tummy
this feeling has been replaced with tears and pain
the happy feeling you had when you heard his voice is now gone
you feel all alone
its been months since you last heard from him
You rush to answer your phone each time it rings hoping he is the one calling
calling to say he is sorry
calling to say he misses you
calling to say he loves you!
calling to say he wants you back!
But, NO!
Its never him!
Your mind goes blank as you say to yourself  'when love hurts, it hurts real bad'
